It has been quite a while since I have graced the blogosphere. But I stumbled across an article on Blaze.com in which Reverend Al was once again making a fool out of himself. Not to be overly critical of the good Reverend nor wishing to misquote him I have taken the liberty to quote a small section of an interview that he conducted recently after being on Capitol Hill lobbying for hearings on speech, “What Rush and others have done I believe has pushed the envelope beyond free speech.” Really? What supposed egregious acts has Rush and those of his ilk committed against the people of America. Or is this the pushing of the issue of free speech because the Rev doesn’t particularly like the points of view of Rush et al? What a spineless coward. It is just like the flaming liberal that he is to run to the government to regulate something that he doesn’t agree with. I have a novel idea…why doesn’t the Rev start a radio show to compete in the open market against Rush et al? After all we do live in America. He is surely free to try this alternative. But it is much easier to run the other liberals in the Congress and try to shut the dissent down by imposing Orwellian “neutrality laws” on those opinions that the elite deem to push the envelope beyond free speech. The funny thing about regulating radio via the Fairness Doctrine or the internet as the FCC is getting ready to descend upon is that once you regulate what can and can’t be on the airwaves it really isn’t free speech anymore is it? It is one more freedom that the elitists are trying to steal from the American People that, once gone, will never be returned to the People voluntarily. You know as I think about how hypocritical it is for the Rev, of all people, to cry afoul about what others are saying under the guise of somehow being beyond protected under free speech…I wonder about the NYPD Officers that the good Rev raked over the coals and tried to ruin in the Tanya Brawley episode that would surely have liked to have someone regulate the one sided spewing rhetoric that the Rev unleashed in that affair. How quickly the Rev forgets or conveniently chooses not to remember.
The Reverend Al and the Liberal Elite

Posted in Politics with tags Arizona, Congress, Eric Holder, immigration, Obama, President on May 21, 2010 by dbscoWell I have finally seen enough. Do we really need the President of Mexico to stand on the lawn of the White House and criticize one of our states? If that was not ballsy enough he goes in front of a joint session of Congress and criticizes Arizona again? It must have been a nightmare or bad dream but no there was our pretender in chief letting a foreign president make false allegations against one of our states. Chairman Maobama’s response…that’s right he did nothing but stand there and criticize Arizona as well. Unbelievable. It really shouldn’t be that surprising at all. This administration is quickly becoming a joke, although for most of us it started out this way. The Attorney General, Eric Holder, talks down the Arizona law and does not rule out taking legal action against Arizona. Under questioning in front of Congress a couple of days later admits that he has not read the Arizona law. I don’t get it. This is supposed to be the chief law enforcement officer in the land and he goes off half cocked and threatens lawsuits over a law he hasn’t read? Really? If that was not bad enough, the former Governor of Arizona and current DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, criticizes said law and admits under questioning she has not read the law either. WTF is going on here? Chairman Maobama was speculating about the possible negative consequences of this new law as an argument against it…but if you had the nerve to question the negative consequences of do-gooder bills such as health care you were racist, heartless and any other number of slurs meant to discredit your argument. Whose country is this? We have a right to secure our borders period. No great nation has survived without securing its borders. I applaud Arizona for stepping up and doing what the federal government does not have the fortitude to do…catch illegal aliens and send them back to the country from which they came. It’s our country after all and we need to take it back.
Elitists at work.
Posted in Politics with tags healthcare, Obama, President, Senators on December 22, 2009 by dbscoWell today it happened. Enough Senators sold their souls to the highest bidder so that the elitists of American government, Chairman Maobama, Reid, and Pelosi can have their precious socialized healthcare. This is one of the most disgusting displays of governance in a “democracy” that I have witnessed in my lifetime. What happened to debating healthcare on C-Span oh dear leader? What happened to the most transparent administration in history? What happened to posting bills online for Americans to see? The President of the United State is a LIAR. I hope everyone has a copy of 1984 on hand as it seems to be coming to fruition more and more every day in Obamerica.
The vast right wing conspiracy or a conspiracy of common sense?
Posted in Politics with tags cap and trade, healthcare, lefties, Obama, Right wing conspiracy, stimulus on August 22, 2009 by dbscoWell its back. That dirty little skeleton in the closet of radical Americans everywhere…the vast right wing conspiracy is back with a vengeance. This is the biggest bunch of bs that I have heard in a while. Anytime the American people revolt against a big government idea they are supposed to be part of a conspiracy? Give me a break. This sounds more like a conspiracy of common sense to me. This is all part of the left pigeonholing groups of people to stigmatize them and make them easier to discredit. The Washington Times reported that there is renewed hope that the right, by defeating healthcare, can relive the Republican takeover in the mid 90’s when Hilary care was defeated and they won majorities in Congress. Instead of a vast right wing conspiracy could it just be that people think this is a bad idea. I think most people are like slow down a little and lets think about this for a second, or at least long enough to read the damn bill. Since when don’t the folks we elect read the bills? This is the most asinine part of the last 9 months of Chairman Obama’s reign. A trillion dollar stimulus bill – didn’t read it. A bill that would wreak havoc on the economy and jobs otherwise known as cap and trade – didn’t read it. A bill that would fundamentally change our country and involves a sixth of our economy otherwise known as healthcare takeover – didn’t read it. We don’t do this in America do we? I see that we do now. This is how a banana republic operates. This is not how the greatest country in the history of the world is supposed to govern. These elected officials need to wake up and start paying attention.
I really hope the Sociacrats listen to the American people and back off the whole government takeover of healthcare. How do you cover the mythical 49 million additional people who are not covered and be revenue neutral? I think that the answer is you can’t and the government should stop saying that they can because it just doesn’t make sense.
As far as the vast right wing conspiracy derailing healthcare, keep it up you may be our last best hope.
The Morality of Health Care
Posted in Politics with tags Charlie Rangel, healthcare, morality, President Bush, President Obama, taxes on July 17, 2009 by dbscoI hope that I am not the only one seriously dismayed at direction in which this country is headed…and the speed in which it is headed to oblivion. The most recent concern is health care. Why does this need to be passed before August? Why is there this insistence on everything being done in rapid succession? I think I researched my last pair of running shoes longer than the House of Representatives took to ram through a government seizure of health care. I hope and pray that the Senate will not be bullied by the President into passing this disaster in waiting like their counterparts in the House did. You know it struck me that if President Bush had acted like Chairman Obama he would have been castigated in the media as an imperial president hell bent on wielding his power, haven’t heard one thing out the complicit media about the Dear Chairman. Now I am as convinced as ever Chairman Obama is a socialist/communist as are a great number of politicians in our government at this time. Case in point, in reference to the reported surtax that the “rich” will face once government seizes healthcare to pay for this grandiose idea, Sociacrats believe that since the wealthy have done so well under the Bush years that they have the ability to “absorb higher taxes.” As if resorting to class warfare were not enough the esteemed Representative Charlie Rangel, chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, called the aforementioned tax increase “the moral thing to do.” Are you kidding me Mr. Rangel? Who are you to decide the morality of programs that treat certain groups of people different than other groups of people? How did you stumble across this moral epiphany of punishing folks who happen to make a high salary? Oh please tell us Mr. Morality who is currently under investigation for ethics violations in the House, Mr. Morality who has cheated on his own taxes. You are a hypocrite just as most of those who serve with you in that joke of a Congress. Keep your morality for yourself and let me worry about my healthcare.
The War on Cowardism
Posted in Politics with tags terrorist, War on Terror on June 12, 2009 by dbscoTo my adoring public who have wondered what exactly happened to dbsco…I currently find myself in a battle with a graduate level statistics class that is getting the better of me at this moment. So I have found myself with little to no time to espouse my views on the blogosphere. Not that there have not been many issues with which I have had opinions on it is just I have had no time whatsoever between school, work and kids sports. So I knew that I really needed to get back on the blogs and as I was running on my treadmill tonight Fox News played a clip from an Osama Bin Laden video. I am not sure how old the video was and could not hear the commentary over the insane level of my IPOD. It struck me then how cowardly that these terrorists are. I mean you come out and challenge America and go back to your cave and hide for your life. I mean what is up with that? Be a man and come fight. Get your army of Islamic Jihadists and fight us like men. That is assuming that they can find any real men in their cause because I don’t call people who run into crowded civilian populations to use women and children as shields men. I don’t a call people who kill innocent men, women, and children for no apparent reason men. I call them cowards. Since President Obama is changing all of the lexicon, I have a suggestion since he does not want to call it a war on terrorism maybe he could call it a war on cowardism. We might as well call it what it is.
